'A Christmas carol' written by Charles Dickens in 1843, quite possibly one of the most adapted stories to the screen that ever was. It was unexpected that a story so well known and loved would make it this far into modern day conciousness and yet this timeless classic has done just that.
I think everyone has a favourite telling of this incredible classic and yet this modern day portrayal challenges these with a chilling and compelling version that you cannot fail to love.
I left the cinema in the middle of march with that 'Christmassy feeling'.
I think save this film for a once a year viewing to really get you into the spirit of Christmas but i wouldn't recommend this film for young children. 10/10
